She donned an ivory satin and tulle dress designed by Badgley Mischka, very simple with buttons down the zipper in the back and a line of crystal clear beading along the train. Extremely understated, elegant, and with a no-fuss attitude (very descriptive of the star’s style), the dress she chose was light and airy for her beach wedding – and with a surprise feature: the tulle ball gown skirt is removable to show a mini satin dress underneath, perfect for her after-ceremony celebration with her husband.
If you like Kellie Pickler’s bridal look – here are some other options to take into consideration!
Romona Keveza: Style RK224
This Keveza dress from the Spring 2011 collection is a little more of a drop-waist than Kellie’s dress, but still features the soft, flowy movement that made Pickler’s dress the perfect choice for her destination wedding. The simple beaded band around the natural waistline will help to bring in your waist and the sweetheart cut top helps to accentuate and create curves in the chest. You can see from this model, mid-walk, that the dress has great dimension and dynamic. If you’re looking for a modern take on Kellie Pickler’s dress, this is a great choice!
Watter's: Style Austin
Another option is Austin from the Watters’ Bridal collection, photographed here in ivory (but also available in white.) Made of luxurious silk organza, this ball gown style has the same natural waistline and belt design as Pickler’s dress, with the added bonus of an enlarged flower detail on the belt. How sweet! The waistline, featured here, has criss-cross ruching which helps to accentuate the smallness of the bride’s waist very nicely. The organza is flowy, yet structured, and extremely light and comfortable for any wedding location.
Justin Alexander: Style 8483 (full) or 8465 (tea)
This tulle and lace dress features a natural waistline, pearl and crystal clear embroidery, and a very full ball gown skirt. It is a terrific dress for any figure – whether you’re petite or plus-size, the ruched and naturally cinched waist can create curves or help to hide it! How, you may ask? While the waistline will bring in a small figure – the 3 dimensional appliqués in the chest and the fullness of the skirt will create the illusion of having curves. Alternately, if you have a fuller figure, the ruched waist will help to cinch the smallest part of your build and the fullness of the skirt will serve to hide the hips. It’s a win-win situation for any body type! This dress also comes in a very sweet tea length style, perfect for a garden or park wedding – show off some brightly colored, fun shoes at your wedding with the tea length version! A great idea that some of our brides have utilized is to purchase both the full and tea length styles – so you can wear the long dress for your ceremony, first dance, and the beginning of your reception – and change into the shorter version once you’re ready to party with your guests for the remainder of the night!
in all things bridal,
V

Bijou Bridal allowed me to thoroughly enjoy my wedding dress shopping experience. Compared to other salons, I never felt the slightest bit of pressure and it was clear that the consultants not only love their job, but are extremely talented at it. I would absolutely suggest to any bride to shop at Bijou Bridal for their wedding gown!
