It was a tradition that started when we were in elementary school - sure the birthday parties were fun and all... but what was everyone REALLY waiting for? Let's be honest. It was the goody bag you got before you left. I'm not sure what the boys at that age gave one another at those parties, but us girls received colorful pencils and pens, candy, plastic jewelry, stickers, and fun noisemakers that drove our parents nuts on the 5 minute ride home.
Now, some of you may think that this is all a thing of the past, but rest assured that upon entering the reception room, you are NOT the only one thinking "I wonder what I got as a favor," because let's face it: presents, no matter how big or small, never get old. These little trinkets that you purchase for your guests could end up on their kitchen refridgerator, displayed on their mantle, or on their office desk at work. And my thought process is, if you're going to spend money on favors, put as much thought into it as you did with everything else in your wedding. You could be remembered for years to come as the couple who gave out those "fabulous favors!"

Many guests are already so full by the time you cut your cake,
how about sending them home with a slice instead!!!
This couple tied colorful pashminas around each of their guest's chairs to keep
them warm on the cool night of the wedding. Great way to spruce up your decor, too!
This lovely bride and groom handed out small fuschia boxes with silk
handkerchiefs for their lady guests to use during the ceremony.
This couple found vintage compasses on etsy.com and bought one for each guest,
personalized it, and used it as their place cards, as well! (That seems to be a popular concept)
Giving out reusable tote bags at this bride and groom's celebration
was an eco-friendly idea that everybody could use!
Have a great weekend brides!
Hope this gave you a jump start on thinking about your wedding favors :)
in all things bridal,
